2024 Endorsements

The Washington Housing Alliance Action Fund helps elect candidates who champion public policy that prevents and ends homelessness and moves us toward a time when everyone in Washington can live in a safe, healthy, affordable home.

Our process:

Our first round of early endorsed candidates includes our strongest champions – lawmakers who consistently take leadership in fighting for transformative policy change and budget investments. We expect to make a second round of early endorsements in May for other candidates who have taken leadership on housing justice priorities. After the filing period ends, we will distribute our questionnaire to state legislative candidates and make additional endorsements in June. We may make another set of endorsements after the August primary.

Candidates for the state legislature should complete this questionnaire to request an endorsement. Candidates who would like to be considered for a May endorsement must complete the questionnaire by May 12 (an early endorsement is not guaranteed.) Questionnaires are due May 31.

Candidates seeking an endorsement for another office should complete this form.

Responses to our questionnaire are reviewed by members of our endorsement committee. That committee includes board members and others advocates. Committee members live in communities across Washington and bring a broad range of personal and professional expertise, including lived experience with homelessness or housing instability. Our endorsement committee makes recommendations to our full board, which then votes on all endorsements.
